A successful course is a collaborative effort between faculty and students, and open communication and feedback are key to this success. Studies show that student feedback teams—in which a small group of students meets regularly with a faculty member to discuss and improve the learning environment—is an effective way to integrate this communication and feedback into a course. In this workshop, we will discuss different structures for student feedback teams, their benefits for both students and faculty, and effective communication strategies. Participants will begin planning how they can incorporate a student feedback team into a course. |
